Batangas is a province of the Philippines located on the southwestern part of Luzon in the CALABARZON region. Its capital is Batangas City and it is bordered by the provinces of Cavite and Laguna to the north and Quezon to the east. Across the Verde Island Passages to the south is the island of Mindoro and to the west lies the South China Sea.

Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. The province has many beaches and famous for excellent diving spots only a few hours away from Manila. Some of the more notable ones are Anilao in the Municipality of Mabini, Matabungkay in the Municipality of Lian, Punta Fuego in the Municipality of Nasugbu, the Municipality of Calatagan and Laiya in the Municipality of San Juan.
Found in the province is world-known Anilao (Mabini) and its many dive sites that are ideal for observing marine life, and outstanding for macro photography. Located only 110 kilometers south of Metropolitan Manila, it is very accessible by land or by sea.

Batangas is also where Taal Volcano, one of the Decade Volcanoes is located. The volcano has a water-filled crater and sits on an island in the center of Taal Lake, which geologists believe is an ancient caldera. The town of Taal is famous for its hand embroideries, knives, and sausages; and it reigns as one of the two most culturally preserved sites of the Spanish colonial era in the Philippines.
Batangas is also generally accepted by linguists as the ‘Heart of the Tagalog Language’. Poetically, Batangas is often referred to by its ancient name Kumintang.

People

Batangas is the ‘Heart of the Tagalog Language’ as the dialect of Tagalog spoken here closely resembles the Tagalog spoken before the arrival of the Spanish. Therefore, a strong presence of the Tagalog Culture is clearly visible until now.

Linguistically Batangueños are also known for their unique affectation of often placing the particles eh or ga (equivalent of particle ba Filipino), usually as a marker of stress on the sentence, at the end of their spoken sentences or speech; for example: “Ay, oo, eh!” (“Aye, yes, indeed!”). Some even prolong the particle ‘eh’ into ‘ala eh’, though it really has no meaning in itself.

In the recent years, waves of migration from the Visayas had brought significant number of Visayans to the province. There are also a few who can speak Spanish, since Batangas was an important centre during the colonial period.

The province of Batangas also has one of the highest literacy rates in the country at 96.5%, wherein the males have a little higher literacy rate at 97.1% than females with 95.9%.

Yikes! Its 2 more months to go I’ll be on vacation already! The great thing is its a company expense! All I need to do is prepare all the documents and things I need for traveling back home. I was actually planning to take some time a vacation in Hong Kong with my Granny and Mom when I get back home. But I still need to check my budget if I can afford it. I was actually checking the Goodrich Hotel that are basically located in Kowloon, Hong Kong good for 3 adult person it actually cost me more than $2,600 for 3 days and 2 nights only without breakfast. Its quite expensive though! I also check Evergreen Hotel for the same day and span of stay but it cost me more than the Goodrich Hotel. Oh! Well I don’t know if I can still pursue my plan to have my vacation in Hong Kong.

Actually, I also consider Thailand as my destination on my upcoming vacation ’cause according to my Sis whose been living there before for a span of three(3) years Thailand has everything to offer and the rate if pretty affordable. I ask her what was the best and affordable hotel in Thailand where I can possibly stay if I’ll have my 3 days vacation there and she recommends me the Tawana Bangkok Hotel and as I check the hotel booking on the specified date I want to be there the rate is pretty amazing! It only cost me around $450 for 3 person, 2 nights and 3 days. Do you think its great or not? I guess, its more than I ask for! I might be considering this package with my Mom and Granny. I really plan this 2 years back and I don’t want to miss this thing. Wish me luck!

But of course, before anything else I still want to have a vacation in my beloved country Philippines. I am planning to go to Boracay Island with my Sis and Bro. I’m actually checking the Paradise Bay Resort for several nights now. For 3 persons it cost me $650 for 3 nights and 4 days. This was the best package I’ve found. I also consider to go to Baguio and likewise I checked the El Cielito Inn Baguio and it cost me $810 still the same span of stay. So, which do you think is best? Its in Boracay right? Besides, ever since I really wanted to visit the said beach. So, wish me luck!

Oh! Just for your information, I used three different sites to find this best deals at Macau, Agoda and Hotelscombined whom I know got the best amazing rates I can asked for! Actually its been a quite some time now I been checking several sites just to compare rates and find the best deals. But after all I ended up at the following sites above. It actually took me sometime to find this sites as I said ’cause there were several sites who offers the same services but the 3 mention above is among of the leading one! So, its in my planner already!

Yikes! I’ll be spending my holidays to Dubai this weekend ’cause I’m quite bored already here in Abu Dhabi. My life here sucks! Its quite boring, tiring and same old scenario which is home to work, work to home. Thanks to my friends who invites me to come and enjoy with them. I actually visited Dubai for several times already with my relatives here in Abu Dhabi. We been to The Dubai Mall where one of the best aquarium is located. Its really awesome and fantastic! Aside from that, we also been to Mercato Mall. Its one of the great structure of Mall I’ve been aside from what I’ve seen in Tokyo, Japan. Dubai has actually a lot of amazing scenery to offer you if you want to visit their place. But before you decide to visit this place you must have to be aware on their weather condition ’cause during May to September this place is pretty hot. But still awesome to visit of course! At least if you’ll decide to be here during those months you’ll definitely catch the hottest place on earth.

Actually, when I first arrive Abu Dhabi last year I was really shock on their weather condition ’cause its really hot but as time passes by I was used on it. For your information you’ll already reached Dubai from Abu Dhabi for about 2 hours by Bus and maybe 1 and half hour by personal car. So, if you got a plan to spend your Holidays in Dubai drop me a message here I’ll meet you too.

Anyway, I’m already half excited on my Dubai exit this weekend. I’ll be seeing my friends there and probably they’ll tour me around to those places I have never been yet like The Pyramids. Wish me luck everyone!
