Ticao island is one of the three main islands that comprise the province of Masbate. The island itself is divided into four municipalities namely Batuan, San Fernando, San Jacinto, and Monreal. It is home to many manta rays or giant mantas, which are the largest of the rays-flat-bodied, tropical marine fishes having boneless skeletons made of a tough, elastic substance. The island, with its diverse flora and fauna has become one of the favorite dive spots for both local and foreign divers.
